Logo mark for Aikyam, a young architecture firm in Bengaluru
One of my early logo design projects was for my senior from Architecture school, who started his own firm practicing Architecture and Interior Design.
The first letters of the word Aikyam in Devanagari and Latin script, are inspired by the blend of traditional architecture with modern architectural style, which is practiced by the firm.
The act of shaping up!
The two lines also represent the hands involved in shaping up the structure - workers, masons, architects, engineers, etc.
This idea can be extended to the site (context) that is shaping up the structure. The site is represented by the black contour lines and the structure by the orange dot which represents energy and life.
Lastly, the orange dot can on its own can communicate the meaning of AIKYAM, which is oneness and identity.
Early concepts and iterations documented during the process
